Prayers of the People - Trinity Sunday C

Prayers of the People—Trinity Sunday C

Sisters and brothers, we have been baptized into a holy mystery.  As Christians, let us pray to God saying: “Unity in Trinity, bend your ear. Trinity in Unity, hear our prayer.”

Glory to you, Lord God of our forebears. Guide your Church into all truth by your Holy Spirit. Fill our hearts with hope so that we may fulfill the ministries to which we have been called with faith and boldness.

Silence
Unity in Trinity, bend your ear.
Trinity in Unity, hear our prayer.

Glory to you, Lord God.  You delight in the human race.  And so we trust that your heart breaks with the brokenhearted.  Comfort all those who suffer because of natural disasters—specifically those impacted by the tornado in Oklahoma.

Silence
Unity in Trinity, bend your ear.
Trinity in Unity, hear our prayer.

Glory to You, Lord God.  You established the heavens and marked out the foundations of the earth. Let all of creation praise you for ever.

The congregation may add your thanksgivings, followed by Silence

Glory to You, Lord God. By endurance you bring forth character in your people. We remember before you, O God, all those who have died in service to the people of this nation. For their courage and care, we give you thanks.

Silence
Unity in Trinity, bend your ear.
Trinity in Unity, hear our prayer.

Glory to you, Lord God. We pray for our loved ones because our hope is placed in you and hope placed in you, O God, does not disappoint.  Bless and heal those for whom we pray.

Prayers of the People - Easter 7C

Prayers of the People—Easter 7C

Sisters and brothers, the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you and with all the saints.  Our hope is found in the presence of the King of Glory, so let us appeal to the Lord saying: “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!”

We pray, Jesus, that your prayers might be answered: may your Church be one as you and the Father are one.  And through our unity, may the whole world come to know your love.

Silence
Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus!

Most High, we eagerly await your return.  We long for your reign of justice and righteousness.  And now, even as we wait, deliver the innocent from the hands of the wicked; bless the truehearted with joyful gladness.

Silence
Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus!

O Lord, the heavens declare your righteousness.  Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, lungs to breathe in your holy presence.

The congregation may add your thanksgivings, followed by Silence
Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus!

We pray, Lover of our souls, for all those who are being exploited. We pray for those in bondage.  We pray for those who suffer because of the greed of others.

Silence
Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus!

We pray for those who thirst for wholeness, for healing, for deliverance. We pray for all those who thirst. Give to the thirsty the gift of the water of life.
The congregation may add your petitions, followed by Silence

Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus!

Alpha and Omega, you bid your people, “Come!” May we, and all who have died, be with you, where you are, forever and ever.

Silence
Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus!
